I'm Paru Timilsina from Nepal and I have only recently begun my journey in the United States, From the very moment I held a brush and dipped it into a pot of colors, a new world opened up before me a world where the dance of hues and the strokes of my brush allowed me to express my deepest emotions. Art became my language, it afforded me the freedom to express myself. I see color as a character. My play with colors represents movement and velocity, change and growth, breakthroughs and escapes. In short, it tells the story of freedom, but also of becoming who you are. I see abstract painting as a form of literature. Some of my paintings are poems, others are stories and still other are plays. Each stroke is a word and each shape is a sentence. The ten paintings I have selected, and the 10 stories in them, have a theme in common: dialogue. Each work portrays an interplay between two characters.
